Honored!

Best Entertainment

It’s always a pleasure to be noticed for excellence!  Randy Ro Entertainment is nominated for “Best Entertainment” by the Dallas chapter of National Association of Catering and Events (NACE).  NACE is a premier organization comprised of top event professionals, including the catering sales directors from hotels, photographers, event & wedding planners, cakes, transportation services, officiants, rental companies, etc.

NACE’s mission is “To advance the catering and events industry and its professionals”. Their point of view is “In a world where margins are slimmer and expectations are greater than ever before, catering and event professionals must keep current on trends, produce creative ideas and continually build upon their network of innovate professionals to be successful and competitive. The National Association for Catering and Events (NACE) paves a clear career path for catering and event professionals that directly affects the way they do business and sets them apart as a professional in the hospitality industry.”

While we frequently get awards, especially client based awards, this means so much because it’s recognition from others in our own market.  Dallas has a thriving events industry that is one of the largest in the country.  It’s arguably one of the closest knit event families in it’s attitude and caring for each other’s success, as well. We fully believe that our success is because of our dedication to our clients, our industry, and our people.

Here’s to the success of your event!

Elegant Draping and Lighting for Dallas Weddings

It’s no secret that one of our favorite venues in DFW is the Ruthe Jackson Center in Grand Prairie!  Just about any week of the year, we are draping, lighting, DJing, videoing, providing photo booths, doing a slow motion video booth, providing “Dancing on a Cloud” for a couples first dance, pin spotting the cake, okay, enough already, the list is long!  It’s a perfect fit for us because RJC is one of the more progressive venues around.  Take a look at their Pinterest page and you can see the caliber of events they do.  We owe so much to Cheryl Allgood & Chip Nami!  Without Cheryl’s constant question, “Can you do this?”, we wouldn’t be the top company for elegant draping and lighting for Dallas Weddings!  The answer is always, “Yes, Cheryl, we can do that.”  Then we go figure out how!

Check out this photo by rock star photographer, Jim Rode!  Floral design by another rock star, Kate Foley!   Have you ever seen a floral arrangement that long?  (a trick to pin spot!)  Of course, the lovely draping is from Randy Ro!  Hand picked, custom fabrics, always!  Fire retardant, always. (don’t let the fire marshall make you take the drape down).  Crystal beading, not always, it’s personalized to you.  Chandeliers, by request!  Multiple chandeliers, sure, can do!  Why not, it’s your wedding!

Fort Worth Wedding DJ

Your guests are standing, cheering as you enter your reception!  You’ve just married your best friend and now it’s time for the party.  You’ve planned the most amazing wedding reception with your Fort Worth Wedding DJ!  Your DFW Wedding Venue  looks amazing with an amazing design of florals, Dallas lighting &  drape, linens, and the energy of your family and friends!   First, you’ll want to have your first dance as the new Mr. & Mrs!  A very nice flow for the evening is to do the Grand Entrance and go straight to your First
Dance.  (Traditionally it opens the dance floor for anyone that might want to dance before the  open dancing starts and it gets it out of the way in case you are nervous about it.  You’ll be able to enjoy the rest of your reception with out the pressure of an upcoming  performance.
What kind of song would you like to dance to for your First Dance?  Your Fort Worth Wedding DJ can help you select the right song, but remember, this is your wedding, dance to the song that means the most to you.  Usually there is a song that  you may have danced to on your first date or that you both like when it comes on the radio.  The other possibility is to go for the entertainment value and break out into something crazy!  You can start with a slow song, scratch it out, and go into a fun choreographed segment.  This can be just the two of you or you can bring in the wedding party in flash mob fashion. Either way, your guests will love it, feel totally entertained, and wonder what is coming next!
For couples that may be too shy for anything crazy and want a great picture, we suggest the Dancing on a Cloud First Dance.  You still pick your favorite song.  A few moments after you begin the dance floor will fill with a white cloud that you’ll be dancing in the middle of.  It’s an amazing picture and “Wow Factor” for your guests.  You didn’t have to choreograph anything and it makes the first dance way more interesting
The photo below was take at the Renaissance Worthington Hotel in Fort Worth during the couples First Dance.

When your Grand Entrance & First Dance are over you’ve just set the tone for an extraordinary wedding reception.  Now it’s off to dinner and an awesome party!

Another awesome thank you!

We were honored to provide MC/DJ, Videographer, Lighting Design, and Photo Booth for bride, Ashley Miller.  When her and Eugene arrived at their Marriott Renaissance Richardson Dallas Hotel reception they wanted to see the ballroom before the guests came in.  The ballroom was glowing in pink up lighting and there was a huge “M” initial on the wall behind their Cup Cake Desert bar.  Ashley’s main focus was to get into our Dallas Photo Booth right away.  Here is the picture and note she sent us on Facebook.

People are still talking about how much fun the had in the photo booth!  We thought we would add our favorite photo booth pic to your page!  Thanks again!  Can’t wait to see the wedding video!  DJ Michael was fantastic and the uplighting looked incredible.”

As Beautiful Inside as Out…

Once again, I am proud of the fact that our Colleyville Wedding DJTeam did an outstanding job on Crystal and Nate’s wedding!  By the way, Nate is a cool guy!  He flys for the Air Force and is as nice as Crystal..wait, is that possible?)  The ceremony and reception were at Piazza in the Village, across the street from our Colleyville Wedding Planning office.  The Piazza is an amazing venue, with incredible food, and the most attentive staff!  It always feels like home when we DJ there.  : )

The Team:
Venue: Piazza in the Village
Florals:  Ed Barrett, Signature Productions
Photographer: Stefani “Vaughan” Peterson, TRU Identity Photography & Designs
Colleyville Wedding Videographer:  Randy Ro Entertainment
MC/DJ:  Randy Ro Entertainment
Cake: Opulent Cakes

This was a busy night for us.  I was at Ashton Gardens, Bob at Old Red Museum,  and Mike did the ceremony and Fort Worth wedding reception DJ services at Fossil Creek Country Club.  Great night to be a Dallas Wedding DJ!

Texas Wedding Guide photo shoot – The WOW Factor!

This stunning and surreal photo shoot for the current issue of The Texas Wedding Guide was designed by the amazing Ed Barrett at Signature Productions.  We were there for three days on the top floor of CityPlace in Dallas.  The room is a blank canvas (which is a wedding design and decor artist’s dream).  Randy Ro Entertainment added the columns around the room.  Posh brought in the most outrageous furniture you’ll ever see.  The stands are “one of a kind” brushed silver, made just for a wedding Ed & I did last summer. To get this look:

  • Design & Flowers, Ed Barrett, Signature Productions
  • Furniture, Posh
  • Dallas Lighting & Draping, Randy Ro Entertainment
  • Amazing empty ballroom with outrageous views of Dallas, CityPlace

Still more nice words from Katie & Jett

I had the honor of working with Katie and Jett on August 15th at Canyon Creek Country Club in Richardson. I cannot say how much I enjoy what I do without thinking of couples like Katie and Jett. Super couple, super wedding!

Castles

A recent article in the Dallas Examiner suggested Destination Weddings without leaving home.  Villa Antonio in Lake Travis, Texas, was pictured in the article.  (If you need a DJ in Austin, call R.J. Johnson or… of course, we travel!). For those of you in the Dallas /Fort Worth area, The Old Red Museum in downtown Dallas also offers a castle look and feel.  It sits right on Dealey Plaza with views of the Book Depository building, Reunion Tower, and your guests can even tour the museum while you are taking your final wedding pictures!  Nikki and Matt are getting married there in April and I’m really excited to be their MC/DJ!
